Growing Directions:

Grow only in soil or cocopeat. Chard is part of the beet family and the greens look very similar to beet greens. Beets seeds are abnormally shaped, which contributes to why its preferred medium is soil or cocopeat. Their root systems require a bit more room to explore and grab hold. Beet greens are flavorful and very colorful.

Prepare your soil or cocopeat in your growing tray by tamping it and making sure it is moist. After presoak, sprinkle your seeds on the soil or cocopeat and then cover them with a thin layer of the said mediums. This provides the ideal conditions for the seeds to germinate. After a while, the beets will start to poke through the top layer—which also serves to de-shell the seed. Keep covered with the tray lid for up to five days. After that, place under a grow light until mature! Cut close to the soil or cocopeat line to feature the colorful stem and rinse well.
